, ,Forum's Venture Studio is a leading early-stage fund and program for B2B SaaS startups. Starting a company is demanding, complex, and psychologically challenging. As former founders and early-stage operators, we understand firsthand that Founders need support, honest feedback, and someone who truly cares in their corner.
Our mission is to make the journey easier and more successful for Founders, and we've achieved this by making over 350+ seed investments that have raised $600M+ in follow-on funding. Forum founders have gone on to raise from funds like Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, Uncork Capital, 8VC, Founders Fund, Menlo Ventures, Canaan, Bowery Capital, Susa Ventures, SV Angel, and more.
We are seeking a Founder/CEO to invest in who will lead and grow a pioneering company focused on automating claims processing for veterans’ services, alleviating a critical bottleneck within the VA.
What are we exploring?
The Veterans Benefits Administration is facing a growing challenge in processing disability claims, particularly with the introduction of the PACT Act, which added over 1 million new claims in 2024. Veteran Service Representatives (VSRs) are overwhelmed by the complexity and volume of claims, leading to burnout, high turnover, and delays in processing. The VA processed over 2.2 million claims in 2023, providing $136 billion in benefits, but the system remains bogged down by inefficiencies and outdated processes.
This presents an opportunity to build automation tools that can streamline the claims process. By integrating data from electronic health records and automating claim reviews, we can reduce the manual burden on VSRs and improve decision accuracy. Automating evidence gathering and claim prioritization will allow the VA to process claims faster and with fewer errors, helping veterans receive their benefits more efficiently.
